Vocabulous is a website where you can learn the key building blocks of longer words from Latin and Greek; these form the basis of much academic vocabulary so will be especially valuable for your education.
For example, in the first module (pictured above) you will learn about the root port- , discovering the differences between transportation, importation, export, deport and so on.
You will access the site each week for homework learning new stems and practising them while teachers track your progress and reward your industry.
Over the next six months, you will aim to unlock the different badges based around the Roman and Greek Gods.
This should give you valuable tools to keep accessing and learning more advanced vocabulary in the coming years. This is a pilot project so your feedback as we proceed is welcome.
