During this project you will focus on music composed for film/video.

You should:

• Consider how sound/music sits alongside video
• Learn some terminology
• Research some of the most famous examples of film/game music
• Consider what film/game composers experience
• Create a presentation of your research
• Compose a piece of music for video

You will need:

• The project booklet
• The clip below
• A Digital Audio Workstation such as SOUNDTRAP

A DAW perfect for using a wide range of sounds and for getting timing of ideas exact. You can use Soundtrap (or GarageBand if you own a Mac). You could use a mixture of digital sounds, recorded sounds, sound effects etc.

YOU HAVE 1 WEEK TO COMPLETE THE WORK

1. Research some terms and ideas specific to film music

2. Research the work of some of the great film/game composers

3. Compose a sound track of your own
