What is Evidence?

Evidence is a crucial part of ensuring you complete your DofE Awards. Providing evidence on eDofE helps us to see that you have been completing your different activities each week and what progress you have made towards your goals. Once your programme planners are approved, you can begin adding evidence.

Adding & Managing Your Evidence - Step by Step:

To add/ manage your evidence, follow the below steps:

    • From the home page, click the section you wish to add evidence to.
    • Scroll down and click 'Manage Evidence'.
    • Select either photo or text evidence.
    • Add your text (e.g. a description of what drills you did at football training) or your photo (e.g. photo of the team sheet from your recent match).
    • When uploading evidence, make sure you give your evidence a name - this should be something that ensures it is easy to understand when you did this (e.g. Football Training 1 or Football - 15/09/25)
    • Select 'Mr Robinson' as your leader.
    • Ensure that 'Select for Assessors Report' is not ticked - this comes once you have completed each section.
    • Click submit, this will go to Mr Robinson for approval.
    • If you have uploaded by mistake, you can unsubmit the evidence and then delete it.

    Examples of Good Evidence

Good evidence is evidence that is uploaded that makes it clear:

    • When you did the activity - i.e. it is dated. For example - 02/04/26
    • How long you did the activity for. For example - session length was one hour.
    • What you did in the activity - i.e. it is fully explained.
    • How you did during this activity - i.e. fully explained how this helps you towards your goal.
    • What was easy/ hard or fun/ boring etc.

See the file below for specific examples of good evidence for each section, as well as examples of poor evidence to avoid:
