Help Video - How to use the eDofE App

The below video shows you how to log in for the first time, how to use the eDofE app, how to fill in your activity details for each section (this is your programme planner), as well as uploading and managing your evidence.

First Time Logging In - Step by Step:

  • Log in using your username (see the welcome email) and your password. The first time you log on your password will be set to your date of birth in the format ddmmyyyy (8 digits with no spaces, dashes etc.).
  • Fill in your personal details, this will ensure a welcome pack gets sent to your home.
  • Fill in your parent/ carer details.
  • The first time you log on you will be prompted to change your password. If you forget your password, click the forgot password button and it will email you. It is important that you have your own email address in the system (and not your parent's email address).
  • Fill in your personal circumstances.
  • Choose your timescales for each activity - one section must be 6 months, the other two will be 3 months. I would recommend doing your favourite activity for the longest.

Mr Robinson can remind you of your username and edit your email address.

Submitting Your Programme Planners - Step by Step:

Your programme planners are the key details about each section. These help us to keep a record of what you are doing, who is assessing you and where you are going to do the activity.

  • Once you have chosen your timescales, you can then click on each individual section - Volunteering, Physical and Skill.
  • When you click a section, fill out the different empty boxes.
  • These boxes include - start date (e.g. 6th October 2025), type of activity (e.g. Racquet sports), detailed activity chosen (e.g. - Badminton), location (e.g. Rohais Badminton Hall), your goals (e.g. to improve on my overhead clear), assessor's name and position (e.g. Jim Bob - Head Coach).
  • Once you have submitted your planner, this will go to Mr Robinson to check over and approve.
  • When your planner is approved you are able to begin your activity and start inputting your evidence.

Adding & Managing Your Evidence - Step by Step:

Evidence is a crucial part of ensuring you complete your DofE Awards. Providing evidence on eDofE helps us to see that you have been completing your different activities each week and what progress you have made towards your goals. Once your programme planners are approved, you can begin adding evidence. To add/ manage your evidence, follow the below steps:

  • From the home page, click the section you wish to add evidence to.
  • Scroll down and click 'Manage Evidence'.
  • Select either photo or text evidence.
  • Add your text (e.g. a description of what drills you did at football training) or your photo (e.g. photo of the team sheet from your recent match).
  • When uploading evidence, make sure you give your evidence a name - this should be something that ensures it is easy to understand when you did this (e.g. Football Training 1 or Football - 15/09/25)
  • Select 'Mr Robinson' as your leader.
  • Ensure that 'Select for Assessors Report' is not ticked - this comes once you have completed each section.
  • Click submit, this will go to Mr Robinson for approval.
  • If you have uploaded by mistake, you can unsubmit the evidence and then delete it.
